For Jenny Marcelin, a working single mother of two who lives in West Roxbury, Sitters Without Borders made all the difference in 2018.
Jenny works at Bentley University and graduated from Cambridge College this past spring. But she almost didn’t make it. “Before I got connected with SWOB, it didn’t look like I was going to be able to finish school. I was on my last semester and my support system had fallen apart. SWOB was a godsend. I was able to finish and graduate BECAUSE of the service I received.”
With help from her sitter Rosie Sandberg, Jenny took her last two courses in Cambridge College’s School of Management. SWOB offered “very professional people, great people, caring people. They really made me feel comfortable leaving my children and my house in their hands.” Once evening class was cancelled, she said, “and my kids were really disappointed that Rosie wasn’t coming!”
